What is FIRST-HOLD?

For the planner it's magic. For the venue it's marvelous.

FIRST-HOLD is a state-of-the-art, online, real-time venue marketing platform that allows venues to publish their available space, dates, & rates. Planners can check available dates and communicate directly with the venue to ask questions and learn more.

Is FIRST-HOLD for the planner or venue?

The beauty is, it is for both. 

For the planner a powerful tool to do more than just "search and see", FIRST-HOLD gives planners the ability to search for venues with the right size, vibe & budget and know that their preferred date is available — even when searching late at night! 

For the venue it allows them show live availability on our website with our cloud-based calendar syncing. In essence, FIRST-HOLD is an automated "cloud collaboration" between both parties... I guess you could say "a match made in heaven".

Is it free for planners?

Yes. Anyone can search venues, see specifications, view the availability calendar and respective rental rates.

If you are a registered customer with FIRST-HOLD, you can even send an inquiry.  It's only when you want to officially book the space that you will be required to put down a deposit which is paid directly to the venue.

Do I plan my whole event on FIRST-HOLD?

Oh goodness, no. Venues have onsite professionals that are far more capable of creatively customizing event plans for their space to your specific needs.

FIRST-HOLD is here to simply provide you with venue recommendations and the ease of checking available dates.

Can I still call the venue to check space?

What's a call? Just kidding, yes of course you can. 

When you speak to the venue manager, they will update FIRST-HOLD. You (of course) have access to this same information online...but the call (pun intended) is yours.

Can I check availability of multiple venues on the same day?

You do this now, correct? (hint: answer is yes) 

Well, FIRST-HOLD wants to mirror this sourcing process for you. Sending an inquiry to a venue has always been free and will remain that way with FIRST-HOLD.

What's new is that it is FAST since you can simply point, click, and check available dates instantly.

Can you elaborate on the deposit requirements?

No problem, easy one: there is no deposit paid through FIRST-HOLD.

The venue will contact you directly to talk about your event, which is why we require planners to sign-in so venues know who to contact.

If you decide you want to book or contract with the venue, you'll pay whatever deposit requirements they have to contract their space. Our goal is to put you in contact with venues who have actual availability for your event needs—that's it.
