FIRST-HOLD is designed to help professional planners find and check availability in real-time from our website, yours, and any website embedded with your personal live availability plugin.

You update your venue’s calendar once in Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Tripleseat or through your API-based platform, and your live digital calendars are instantly updated and synced. You can also easily block off dates when your venue is closed to the public.

How? After signing up and creating your profile you'll need to set up your calendar integration... I know it sounds complicated, but it's really easy.

How do you currently manage your calendar?  Our goal is to keep you in the calendar system you currently use and love...

Do you currently use Google Calendar?

Great, we love Google Calendar... simply download the Chrome extension. It takes (3) quick steps and allows you to sync your Google calendar.

If you don't use Google calendar, click to learn about how to sync with Microsoft Outlook, Tripleseat or contact us at hello@first-hold.com and let us know what type of calendar management system you use, if they are API based (nearly all of them are) we'll contact them to "talk tech", you don't need to do anything else. Might sound fancy, but it’s easy peasy.

You can instantly sync your FIRST-HOLD event space calendars with Google Calendar directly from your Google Calendar.

Do I need to be logged into the FIRST-HOLD site in order to update my FIRST-HOLD calendar?

No!  Once you have downloaded the Chrome Extension and clicked Sync Google Calendar (in your event space profile) we are synced with your Google Calendar.  You can access Google Calendar the way you normally do and enjoy complete FIRST-HOLD technology.

My Google Calendar isn't syncing properly, can you help?

Yes, of course!  But first make sure you are in the Google Calendar you have synced with FIRST-HOLD.  Often times we have more than one Google Calendar open at a time and if you do not have the Google Calendar open that you previously synced with FIRST-HOLD, the FIRST-HOLD pop-in my not appear.  Try trouble shooting the following issues.

  • Make sure you are in the correct Google Calendar
  • Make sure you have added FIRST-HOLDs Chrome Extension & it's logged in
  • Make sure you've hit the Sync with Google Calendar button in the event space profile.

This video might help.

If these don't work, please reach out to us at hello@first-hold.com and we'll get you back on track.
