How do I get started? 

Glad you asked.  Have you created your FIRST-HOLD profile?  If yes, keep going... if no, follow these simple steps to create your FIRST-HOLD profile and then come back to set-up your integration.

One more important thing to know before you start:  We want this to be super easy for you.  If you need help, please reach out to us at hello@first-hold.com we'll get you set-up, the LAST thing we want is to cause you any stress, but if you're a "do it yourselfer" let's get started.

Hint: As you get started have (3) tabs open in your browser.

OK, Let's go... 

STEP 1

Add Tripleseat API keys to FIRST-HOLD Profile

Login to your Tripleseat Account > Settings (in the side bar) > Scroll down to Resources > Tripleseat API/Webhooks

Locate the 3 keys to copy/paste to your FIRST-HOLD Profile Account

1 - Public API
2 - Customer Key
3 - Customer Secret

Log-in to FIRST-HOLD or click on tab if already logged-in. 
Go to Account > Scroll down to Setup Tripleseat

Important:  Ensure Setup Tripleseat toggle is on (should be green).

Copy/Paste these 3 keys into the subsequent fields within your FIRST-HOLD Profile

Select Save when done.

 

STEP 2

Add static Webhook endpoints

FIRST-HOLD has provided below a static URL that will need to be added to your Tripleseat Webhook Endpoints (located on same page as API keys):

Scroll down to the bottom of the same page you found the API keys and click "Add Webhook"

Create 3 webhooks, all utilizing the same FIRST-HOLD provided static URL, but each webhook will have separate trigger actions:

FIRST-HOLD Webhook: https://api.production.first-hold.com/th-webhook/

1st Webhook:

Select Add Webhook button to begin.

Select the following (under Event Actions)

- Create Event
- Update Event
- Delete Event

Paste supplied URL into Your Target URL:

https://api.production.first-hold.com/th-webhook/

Select Create when done.

 

2nd Webhook:

Select Add Webhook button

Select Status Change Event (under Event Actions)

Paste supplied URL into Your Target URL:

https://api.production.first-hold.com/th-webhook/

Select the Create when done.

 

3rd Webhook:

Select Add Webhook button

Select Convert Lead (under Lead Actions)

Paste supplied URL into Your Target URL:

https://api.production.first-hold.com/th-webhook/

Select the Create when done.

STEP 3

Link FIRST-HOLD spaces with Tripleseat spaces

In order to link the spaces, the spaces must be matched together between the two programs.

Within your FIRST-HOLD profile:  Select My Venues > Edit Profile

 

Scroll down below the calendar > Sync Calendar > Tripleseat

 

Select Space, Location, and Location Room to match up with Tripleseat venue.

Important Note:  FIRST-HOLD and Tripleseat use a little different language:

Tripleseat Locations = FIRST-HOLD Venue
Tripleseat Location Rooms = FIRST-HOLD Event Space (aka Space)

FIRST-HOLD Space and Tripleseat Locations Rooms must match.

 

For each FIRST-HOLD Space, select a Tripleseat Location (aka venue) and Tripleseat Location Room (aka event space) and finally select a Tripleseat Contact*.

*Users - In Tripleseat there are two different ways you can enter your venue contacts and staff.  The first is under "contacts" which is our default.  However if your venue contacts and staff are listed under Users then check this box and select the appropriate venue contact. 

Repeat for each event space/location rooms until all rooms have been added.

If you have more than one venue in FIRST-HOLD, please repeat for each venue.

Any leads will now reflect on FIRST-HOLD’s calendar.

Yay... you're done!

Double check FIRST-HOLD to make sure it looks accurate.  You can view what was synced by clicking the finger/click icon in the upper left corner of your dashboard.

Note: FIRST-HOLD ONLY syncs tentatives and definites with Tripleseat, but only bookings will show on customer facing FIRST-HOLD calendar, allowing you to continue to receive leads until the date is booked.

FAQ
How do I keep FIRST-HOLD updated?
When you update Tripleseat it will now update FIRST-HOLD.  You don't need to log-in to FIRST-HOLD to keep your calendar current.

How will I receive leads from FIRST-HOLD?
FIRST-HOLD will now send the client information directly to leads in Tripleseat and you will receive an email confirmation from FIRST-HOLD. 

Do I need to communicate with customers through FIRST-HOLD?
No, you can communicate through Tripleseat, or whatever way you like to communicate with your customers.  Once you convert the event in Tripleseat to a definite booking, it will update FIRST-HOLD.

When would I need to log-in to FIRST-HOLD?
Only when you want to update the content (i.e photos, pricing, new links). Had an amazing event and have some incredible photos of your space?  Don't forget to add them to to your FIRST-HOLD profile.  Beyond that, we recommend you check your content atleast every 6 months.
